Historic Charm
The Thayer Hotel was built in 1926, ordered by General Douglas MacArthur, the then-superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Later that year the hotel opened and replaced the West Point Hotel as the primary guest accommodation site on West Point’s campus.

For larger sized weddings, the Thayer Hotel hosts several grand-ballrooms to choose from, with the largest fitting a capacity of around 250 guests. However, the Historic Thayer Hotel does also host several smaller, more intimate spaces, for couples in search of a more personal celebration.
The hotel also provides options for outdoor ceremonies, and receptions including a sizable patio, and a rooftop bar.
