Bar or Bat Mitzvah Celebration: 7 Steps and Great Photos

A Mitzvah is a great milestone in your child’s life. We want you to plan an amazing celebration. Here are some great tips to get you started.

1. Organize Schedule and Budget

First, set a date! When the synagogue gives you a date, confirm with all the family members that will be attending. Chat about the budget for the event and you are on your way to planning a great celebration.

2. Find Your Venue

Venues that host mitzvah celebrations usually book up fast! Find a great location that has plenty of room, great food and an opportunity for great photo backgrounds. Family portrais and usually take prior to the celebration starting.

3. Ceremony Practice

Study the Torah and scriptures for the ceremony rituals. This is the most meaningful part of the celebration. These rituals have been in place and practiced by your ancestors for generations.

4. Gather Your Guest List

Start the guest list! Invitations should go out to all family members, on both sides. Invite significant people in your child’s life, friends, and other people who contributed to the success of the celebration and your child’s life.

5. Pick a Theme & Party Decor

Picking a party theme can be so much fun! We have photographed many different themes and the ideas are endless. Choose a theme that your child enjoys and will be excited to take part in.

6. Vendor Selection

Finding the right vendors for your celebration is essential. The most important one is the photographer/videographer, this team will capture all the memories that will last forever. The entertainment team will create all the excitement and fun that will make your event so memorable.

7. Send Out Invites and Get Ready To Celebrate!

Once the date is set, the theme is ready and the Torah is being studied you can relax and prepare to celebrate. The next steps are to find outfits for the event, hair and makeup if needed.

On the day of the event, prepare to enjoy yourself, don’t stress. You hired great vendors, we all know our place and we are ready to create a great celebration that you will remember forever.
