Emily and Stephen had their first date as sophomores in high school. When it was time for Stephen to propose he contacted us to set up the moment and location.
The pier in Piermont, NY was always a favorite location for them to walk and talk. A perfect spot!
It was only natural for them to want the wedding reception in the same area. They found The View on the Hudson, a perfect match for them. They met with the catering team and fell in love with the venue.

A summer wedding day was ideal for this location and the beautiful sunsets over the Hudson River really sold the venue.

Emily and Stephen had a unique timeline for their wedding day. Her love for wedding photography and dancing set this timeline on fire! Here is how it unfolded.
Bride and Groom Preparation
Emily loves to dance and made it clear that she was not taking photos during her cocktail hour or reception. With a church wedding set for 2pm we decided to take all the photos prior to the ceremony at a private estate in Tarrytown.
This gave us all the time we needed for the photo session before the church. Emily and Stephen got ready in the bride and groom suites at the venue. Once they were done they met at the Belvedere Mansion in Tarrytown, NY for the reveal and private vows.
First Look at Belvedere Mansion
Stephen arrived first, then Emily. We set up the first look at the entrance to the mansion. Emily was inside and Stephen was outside waiting. Nervously.
Once the first look and tears dried up we continued to take bridal party and family portraits at the mansion.
St. Margaret Church | Full Wedding Mass
The ceremony at St.Margaret Church in Pearl River NY was beautiful. It was even more special because Emily went to St. Margaret School and a lot of the family and friends attend that church. Fr. Rasser said the mass.
Straight to The Venue!
Emily and Stephen planned well. Once the mass was complete and the guests all said hello we went straight to the venue. The bridal party had a dance party in the bridal suite with some refreshments as we set up for the reception.
A Summer Wedding on the Hudson River | Cocktail Hour and Reception
All the family groups and posed photos are completed already and now we capture the celebration. The decor was beautiful and the venue did a great job with the food and displays.
The couple had a few requests, signature drinks and the venue went above and beyond to make this wedding day amazing.
A Private Last Dance
One request from the couple was for us to stay later and capture this one private last dance.
From the first moments of the day to the last dance… this day was really extra special.
